Dendreon is looking for a Senior Systems Analyst with 5+ years experience in manufacturing and IT, as well as 5+ years of solid AS400 (iSeries) development experience (RPG, RPGLE, ILE, CL).


This position will provide programming support, business analysis and develop code for the use of the ERPLx application (formerly known as BPCS) for Dendreon. This person will eventually become the technical subject matter expert (SME) with the ability to provide on-going support and maintain system functionality and modifications.


This position will be 9am - 6pm PT, on call, to support production operations.


  • Work as technical resource on ERP Implementation project team. 
  • Design, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional areas, including but not limited to finance, manufacturing, commercial and technical operations, and quality assurance.
  • Analyze existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs.
  • Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards.
  • Guide users in conversion and implementation of system.
  • Share knowledge with other programmers, system administrators and business analysts.
  • Act on user and functional requirements from business units.
  • Participate in project meetings, team discussions, and problem solving.
  • Ensure compliance will all relevant policy and procedures including Software Development Lifecyle (SDLC).
  • Collaborate with analysts, software quality assurance, and system owners, end-users in the testing of new and/or updated ERPLx programs and applications.
  • Provide direction for the application development team in support of business operations.


  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent or above. 
  • 5+ years experience in manufacturing and IT.
  • 5+ years solid AS400 (iSeries) development experience (RPG, RPGLE, ILE, CL).
  • 2+ years experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Experience with change management in regulated environment with a strong focus in system validation; GMP, SDLC experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines with efficiency.
  • Strong skills in structural design preferred.
  • Ability to work successfully remotely in a virtual team environment across geographic locations and time zones, with on-call availability.
  • MS Windows and Office.
  • Knowledge of multiple modules of ERP LX systems with primary focus in CEA, ECM, GL, A/R, A/P and knowledge of master data management, inventory management, materials management, shop floor control, quality release, change management procedure, GMP and FDA regulations related to IT.
