Overview

Dendreon is looking for an Operations Planner, with 1-3 years of experience in production planning, plant scheduling, traffic management, with great customer service skills. Basic understanding in the area of supply chain, scheduling, or logistics is also required. This person will be responsible for providing first response support and coordination of all scheduled patient treatment activities across the entire supply chain to ensure successful receipt of apheresis collections and delivery of final products to infusion sites within given time constraints. This role also includes identifying risks and assists in contingency planning.

 

Mandatory main schedule: 12:00PM - 8:30PM

 

This position will be onsite at our Seattle location, and this person may be required to work alternate shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively track and coordinate the collection, delivery, transportation, and manufacturing activities for patient treatments as they move through the entire supply chain.
  • Analyze and determine operational supply chain risk factors and implement changes in schedule activities to ensure successful delivery of patient treatments to the manufacturing facility and the infusion site; work with Sr. Operations Planners on contingency plan presentation for management team.
  • Liaise with other teams (i.e. third party logistics partners, patient scheduling, apheresis operations, nursing services, quality assurance and manufacturing facilities) in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Identify, anticipate and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Recommend opportunities for process improvement and participate in continuous improvement process engineering to build. scalable processes to meet challenges and solve problems.
  • Participate in the development of training materials and provide training support of new hires.
  • Perform data entry, verification, and edits to patient treatment schedules as necessary.
  • Support and manage high volume of calls and e-mails.
  • Comply with SOP’s and cGMP’s to maintain data integrity throughout the supply chain.
  • Develop collaborative and cooperative working relationships, be a valued team contributor, and model Dendreon’ s corporate values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work schedule: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding in the area of supply chain, scheduling, or logistics.
  • 1 - 3 years experience in production planning, plant scheduling, traffic management, or customer service
  • Able to think and execute quickly under pressure.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities.
  • Able to multi-task and process information expeditiously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in times of crisis.
  • Able to communicate knowledge and ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively; provides necessary information to others; communicates well with internal and external partners to facilitate progress.
  • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills in CRM applications (i.e. SalesForce,), ERP systems (i.e. ERPlx) and MS Office applications.
  • cGMP/FDA experience preferred but not required.
  • Schedule flexibility.
