Overview

Dendreon is looking for a Financial Analyst with 3 + years working experience  in a related position or field, and at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA, CMA. This person will be assisting in the development of the budget, planning, forecasting and other financial activities as required. The Financial Analyst will also prepare monthly close duties, analysis, and reporting. This job is performed in a lab, office, or utility (noisy) environment.

 

This person may be required to work alternate shifts, and travel occasionally to Seattle, WA and/or Union City, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development of the budget and forecasts. Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare data driven recommendations regarding financial plans, new business planning, and operating forecasts. 
  • Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance. 
  • Prepares analysis and reporting relating to budgets, forecasts and financial plans. 
  • Establishes reporting package of pertinent information for use in analyzing current trends, future plans and forecasts. 
  • Act as Financial Business Partner to key operating functions within Dendreon.

Qualifications

  • 3 + years working experience in a related position or field. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrates analytical proficiency; Posses the ability to understand and correlate complex business issues into simple cause and effect explanations; Excellent formal and informal written and oral communication skills; Willingness to be held accountable for producing accurate information and to perform tasks by the highest ethical standards. 
  • Prior experience with ERPLx, PeopleSoft, HFM, Hyperion Planning or similar software systems a plus.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Intermittent walking to gain access to work areas.
  • Finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer and to complete paperwork activities.
  • Vision sufficient to use a computer, to read written materials and to complete paperwork activities.
  • Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals by telephone and in person.
  • Must have the ability to work around laboratories, manufacturing areas and equipment, and regularly lift 10 – 20 lbs. 
  • Must have the ability to work around laboratories, manufacturing areas and equipment with exposure to blood, blood products or OPIM (other potentially infectious materials) while donning required personal protective materials.
  • Abiltity/willingness to travel to Seattle, WA and/or Union City, GA.
  • Schedule flexibility.
