Overview

The Finance Manager will manage the financial support activities for Dendreon Corporation.Coordinate monthly closings and financial reporting, managing the budget preparation process from schedule planning to final presentation. Oversee the budget preparation process from schedule planning to final presentation. Drive improvements in our financial systems. Train  and develop skills of other finance personnel. Partner with others at the site to evaluate business decisions and insure financial objectives are met.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Enterprise Budget preparation process from schedule planning to the final presentation. Align with stakeholders in organization to deliver thorough concise plan. 
  • Work with Business Partners to develop annual operating budgets, quarterly Forecasts, and budget to actual variance analysis
  • Coordinate the monthly closing with finance team monthly insuring correct results with minimal adjustments; Generate general ledger entries; Prepare monthly financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations. Provide information for weekly flash reports;
  • Manage Capital Projects for the Business; performing analysis as required to explain and summarize capital financial activity.
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and day to day operations
  • Maintain Financial Reporting/Planning Depository. Make enhancements to financial systems as business needs change to support our internal customers.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Three or more years work experience in a related job or company; Prior experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting desirable; Prior experience with BPCS/ERPLx and PeopleSoft or similar software systems a plus.
  • Special Skills: Demonstrated analytical proficiency; Posses the ability to understand and correlate complex business issues into simple cause and effect explanations; Excellent formal and informal written and oral communication skills; Willingness to be held accountable for producing accurate information and to perform tasks by the highest ethical standards
  • Specialized Training: Expert command of standard MS Office Applications – Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Potential travel required to sites across the United States
