    Dendreon is seeking a dedicated Medical Science Liaison to join its Medical Affairs team. This person will have the opportunity to work with the only approved immune-oncology therapy for prostate cancer. Successful candidates will master clinical information on sipuleucel-T and speak to the immunologic basis for its therapeutic effect. This individual will serve as a resource to healthcare professionals caring for prostate cancer patients, facilitate the successful implementation of clinical trials, and provide field perspective to Dendreon.

     

    Ideal candidate will be based in the Northeastern United States.

    Responsibilities

    • Establishes and maintains relationships with health care professionals:
      • Scientific exchange with local thought leaders and community-based practicing healthcare professionals.
      • Builds relationships with key urologists and oncologists.
      • Participates and represents Dendreon at various scientific/cooperative group meetings.
      • Participates at various Advisory Boards.
    • Participates in the conduct of clinical trials:
      • Responds to requests from physicians interested in investigator-sponsored trials.
      • Works with investigators and/or Dendreon study coordinators to maximize enrollment in Dendreon-sponsored clinical trials.
    • Participates in the education of healthcare professionals and Dendreon employees:
      • Participates in the provision of medical information at scientific meetings at medical affairs booths.
      • Participates in the education of healthcare professionals in the appropriate use of our product.
      • Serves as a resource in the education of sales, marketing and professional services employees.
    • Participates in the identification and publication of scientific materials:
      • Monitors and reviews literature regarding competitors’ products and relevant new literature.

    Qualifications

    • Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, MSN) or equivalent.
    • 3 years related experience in FDA regulated industry preferred
    • 2 years clinical experience with preference for oncology, urology, or immunology.
    • Proficient in MS Office applications.
    • Travel will be required and will involve a minimum of 50%.
    • Must reside within the designated territory for the posted position
