  • Overview

    The Human Resources Intern is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resources operations and duties for organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

     

    Intern hours are flexible and the internship is approximately 6 months.

    Responsibilities

    • Records management including the preparation and maintenance of confidential HR files, records and databases.
    • Audits files to ensure compliance and proper storage of required employee documentation by legal requirements.
    • Participation and organization of HR sponsored company events.
    • Compiles and prepares reports.
    • Involved with recruitment processes, including phone screens, scheduling interviews and coordinating travel arrangements.
    • Handles HR contracts and invoices for processing and payment.
    • Prepares paperwork required for new hires.
    • Creates and distributes HR communications.
    • Assists with scheduling training courses.
    • Assists with special HR projects.
    • Responds to employee inquiries.
    • Other duties as required.

    Qualifications

     

    • High school diploma, plus one year of administrative support experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in progress with previous HR experience preferred.
    • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
