  • Overview

    Dendreon's Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading a team of ten, high performing Sales Specialists, as well as managing all account activity within their designated region. The Regional Sales Manager holds specific, additional responsibilities that are assigned by his/her supervisor. The Regional Manager is expected to continually develop the skills of individuals within his/her Team; ensuring that his/her Region of responsibility produces a sales volume at or above the assigned region sales quota.

     

    Extensive travel will be required. This job description has been designated to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification. Additional and incidental duties related to the primary duties may be required for company business needs from time to time.

     

    Ideal candidate location is witin the Pacific West territory.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Recruit and retain top talent.
    • Work with field based representatives to ensure sales goals and individual development needs are achieved.
    • Teach, train and coach Sales Specialists on Dendreon’s and competitor products as well as industry dynamics.
    • Organize, plan, conduct and attend various sales and sales management meetings.
    • Conduct job performance reviews.
    • Understand and navigate the product/process throughout all assigned account segments.
    • Successfully manage/coordinate simultaneous complex selling situations from enrollment to certification.
    • Communicate regularly with his/her Team, Supervisor, Peers, Internal/External Partners and Clients in order to optimize.resources and exceed customer expectations.
    • Actively participate in the planning and execution of all Launch and NSM Meetings.
    • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures and applicable FDA and OIG legal standards and requirements.
    • Develop and ensure strong team dynamics.
    • Analyze, plan and administer budgets.
    • Participate in special assignments.
    • Complete regional business plan and monthly expense reports.
    • Attend training programs, conventions and symposia.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Minimum of 5 years successful Biotech/Pharmaceutical Urology / Oncology sales experience.
    • Experience with startup Biotech companies is preferred.
    • Preferred experience in GU / Men’s Health.
    • Previous immunotherapy experience is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of successful management experience in the Urology / Oncology marketplace.
    • New Product Launch experience preferred.
    • Proven ability to lead a sales team to successful achievement of sales targets.
    • Consistent performance in the top 15% of their peers.
    • Experience working with large institutions and complex selling situations highly desirable.
    • Strong leadership, team building, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Must consistently demonstrate sound judgment and strategic decision making abilities.
    • Broad knowledge of principles, methods and region dynamics in the Urology marketplace.
    • Extensive travel will be required.
