  • Overview

    The Senior Medical Affairs Specialist provides healthcare professionals with information about how to best use our products to treat cancer patients. The successful candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills to provide educational presentations to internal and external groups.


    • Provides medical information to internal and external customers.
      • Coordinates the submittal of balanced scientific written and verbal responses to unsolicited requests for information on Dendreon products for approved and non-approved uses.
      • Prepares and updates standard response documents and product profiles.
      • Assures that potential adverse events and product complaints are identified and handled per corporate policy.
      • Ability to educate internal stakeholders on adverse event/product complaint reporting
    • Experience with setting up processes for medical information/adverse event reporting
    • Participates in the identification and publication of scientific materials.
      • Monitors and reviews literature resources regarding competitors’ products, and updates department on relevant new literature.
    • Presents medical information at scientific meetings.


    • Advanced healthcare degree (PharmD, MD, MSN) or equivalent.
    • Typically 2 years related experience in FDA regulated industry.
    • Prior experience in Medical Information or Pharmacovigilance
    • Proficient in MS Office applications.
    • Some travel may be required.
