    Dendreon seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to work in concert with Dendreon IT staff and third party service providers, to deliver IT services, track, prioritize and document activities, track and manage resources, respond in a timely manner to service requests and represent the interests of Dendreon IT for projects or other interdisciplinary activities.  Seek continuous improvement in the quality and timeliness of IT services and solutions.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide technical expertise in the delivery of IT administration and support functions
    • Leverage ticketing system, knowledge base, configuration database and change management system to document incidents, requests, solutions and changes, escalating or delegating as appropriate
    • Use diagnostic utilities to analyze and diagnose technical issues and trends to recommend and effect resolution
    • Analyze, recommend and implement system changes that improve performance, efficiency, effectiveness and quality of IT systems and processes
    • Track hardware/software inventory
    • Assists with training of IT personnel and Dendreon Staff
    • Assist with vendor management to maximize vendor effectiveness
    • Participate on projects
    • Other duties as applied

     

    Scope:

    • This position will provide IT services to all Dendreon facilities as well as remote users, including Dendreon field sales staff. 
    • Specific knowledge of technologies desired include Windows Desktop and Server, Linux, Citrix, MS Office productivity tools, PC’s, laptops, Apple tablets and phones, Android phones, network equipment, Office365, security technologies and cloud services, Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, Windows desktop, MS Office suite. 
    • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry or other heavily regulated industry highly desired. 
    • Familiarity with vendor management, project management and IT Security. 
    • Excellent customer service skills.

     

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of progressive experience providing IT services and solutions. 
    • Experience in a regulated environment.  FDA/Pharma/Biotech a plus
    • Operating Systems: Windows desktop and server, IOS, and/or Android.  Linux & MacOS a plus.
    • Servers: Virtualization, VMWare, RDP, Citrix, SQL, SCCM.  AWS, Azure and/or Oracle a plus.
    • IT Infrastructure: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS.  McAfee, Rubrik, Mobile Iron, Nutanix, Zerto a plus.
    • Networking: cabling, switches, routers, firewalls, WiFi, patch panels.
    • Productivity tools: MS Office suite, Office 365, Visio.
    • IT certification preferences: A+, MCP, ITIL, CompTIA, Network+.
