Your Role: (On-site at Seal Beach, CA) We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Intern to join our Human Resources team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in data analysis, reporting and a keen interest in applying these skills in a people-focused, business-driven environment. You will play a key role in supporting our organization by developing reports, maintaining trackers, and generating insights that drive data-informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

Your Work:

  • Data Visualization & Reporting
    • Build and maintain dashboards and visual reports in Power BI to track workforce metrics such as headcount, hiring, turnover, and internal mobility.
  • Support Commercial HR Activities
    • Partner with the Commercial HR Business Partner to run scheduled and ad hoc reports.
    • Maintain trackers for sales team metrics, including hiring activity, org changes, and performance summaries.
  • Data Management
    • Clean, prepare, and consolidate data from multiple HR systems (e.g., Work Tango, ADP Workforce, ICIMS, MOTUS, Salesforce, etc) using Excel, SQL, and Power Query.
  • Insight Generation
    • Identify workforce trends and develop data summaries to inform HR strategies and business decisions.
  • Process Improvement & Automation
    • Contribute to the enhancement of HR data collection and reporting processes with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and usability.
    • Assist in automating routine reporting tasks to improve overall efficiency.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with HR team members to ensure timely delivery and consistency of people analytics and reporting outputs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Intermittent walking to gain access to work areas.
  • Finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer and to complete paperwork activities.
  • Vision sufficient to use a computer, to read written materials and to complete paperwork activities; Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals by telephone and in person.
  • Must have the ability to lift 10 – 20 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to work in an office environment around laboratories, manufacturing areas and equipment with exposure to blood, blood products or OPIM (other potentially infectious materials) while donning required personal protective materials.
